What measures do we have in place for your safety?

  • Hand sanitiser stations at the entrances, and outside the toilets
  • Social distancing in place across the cemetery, with signage to help
  • Entrances and Exits are designed to enable distancing should there be a queue
  • Enhanced cleaning of common touch points, and our toilets
  • Restricted numbers, with timed entry and advance tickets only
  • From 19th July, tours of the West Cemetery are limited to x10 people only
  • Increased volunteer presence to help you have a safe and enjoyable visit
  • We have made access as contactless as possible

Important things to know for your visit

  • Ensure that you don’t come if you or a member of your household is displaying Covid-19 symptoms
  • Please arrive in the allotted time slot for your ticket (written on your email confirmation)
  • We ask that you follow our 2m social distancing rules whilst entering, exiting, using our facilities and when moving around the cemetery
  • We ask that you wear a face covering (unless exempt) in our entrance areas, our shop and if you are on a Guided Tour
  • Our toilets are open, they are cleaned daily
  • We encourage you to use the sanitiser we have available
  • If you have a ticket for the West Cemetery, it includes entry to the East
  • We are cashless 
  • Where appropriate, we may ask for your details for Test & Trace purposes
  • Travel light, we don’t have space to store your luggage
  • We have increased bike storage, for those wishing to cycle here
  • Our small gift shop is now open, only one person may enter at a time and face coverings must be worn
  • We have Visit England Good to Go accreditation, to reassure you of our measures
