Support the Friends of Highgate Cemetery Trust

Unlike most cemeteries, we are not run or funded by a local council. We are an independent charity (charity no. 1058392) with a loyal and supportive community of volunteers, members, grave owners, visitors and donors.

With funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and our own reserves, we are conserving our 36-acre site, including 200 years of heritage, a unique natural habitat, and a place for community and reflection. This seven-year, £18 million project is called Unlocking Highgate Cemetery. You can read more about it here.

We must raise £200,000 per year to complete the funding. Every donation, no matter how small, helps Highgate Cemetery remain a sanctuary for heritage, nature and community.
